Hi Donna, I loved your story, and what a beautiful story it is. So glad your little brother was such a wonderful little boy, young man and adult to always include you in things. It sounds to me like Mom did a very fine job rearing you two. Happy Birthday Neil. Patty (Custer) Lincoln
My brothers and I once grabbed all our bedspreads and pillows and put them at the bottom of the stairs. We would then leap from the middle of the staircase onto them. There was no padding on the stairs themselves other than the carpet, so when we missed it was a tad painful. When I read how you and Neil turned the staircase into a slide, I did a classic *facepalm*. Of course we should have turned the stairs into a slide! Too bad we didn't know you and Neil as kids. We could have gotten through our childhoods with fewer rug burns.

What a wonderful story, Donna. You are so lucky to have such a great brother. I didn't know you were a writer, but you do have many talents so I'm not too surprised.
