I often receive the same complaint. Visiting family and even close friends can often be very exhausting. I'm not sure everyone is cut out for protracted encounters.

Well in my mother's case she worries that my uncle (her brother) will need something, and he doesn't need her help but she dotes on him ever since he became legally blind. The biggest hindrance to him is night vision and the ability to drive....which in turn has severely limited his ability to cat around. When he didn't have these issues, she even came down to stay with me overnight. There are not many people in my family I would want staying with overnight.

I'm just really happy you found Ty. You are both so good together and considering your backgrounds it's amazing you found each other.

Indeed. My guess is that the Internet is going to create quite a mixture of cultures during the fifty years.

I try, but this economy makes me feel like I am a job pariah. Socially I think I'm doing really well.
