My niece is driving me crazy. Her whole life is constantly a mess. Other people can stay over a g/f house and nothing really happens, she stays over a g/f house and 6 pairs of underwear get stolen by the teenage daughter, someone takes her license place lights (yeah, you read it right, the stupid $2 lights) and her phone charger. It's your home, they can only take advantage of you if YOU let them. Tell her she has to leave, give her a firm date. If she makes no move to, be prepared to pack her things, and change the locks. If she pounds on the door, call the police. Tough love. You can care about a person, but you don't have to let them take advantage of you.

Well at this rate I'm willing to wait it out with her. She's said she will get her kids beginning of August, and she knows she's not bringing them here. I also don't do babysitting for anybody.

I concur with donnad. Nice to offer a port in a storm, but maybe not for a minelayer with a loose load.

I have shown her she was used by men for years, it's about time she uses them for her own ends for a change. Several have said they want her and her kids, well...take them up on it. Cause right away, she will need them to spend all kinds of money on different things. She's also starting to see that the ones who are great-sex guys have nothing to offer, but the rich ones might not only provide things, but also be away for months at a time with work. Win/win there!

One suggestion - since you are venting about relatives here, you might want to consider "friends-locking" this type of post so it's not out there for anyone who stumbles across it to see. Yes I've gotten smacked upside the head for not doing this in the past.

Well true, I'd be worried about it if she could come across it. My relatives pretty much know what I'm dealing with here.
