Just... go. Now.
I can’t believe it myself... “The Lovecats” is updated! Thank you very much, Lorra, for your ideas. Thank you everyone else who assisted. You know who you are.
I’m sorry, this chapter is a tad short. I promise that they will be progressively longer as I get back into the swing of things.
Disclaimer: I do not own or know or affiliate with the likes of AFI or their families, or whatever! Yay! Okay! And yes, the janitor is based off a janitor in my school.

The Lovecats
Chapter Five: Wrong Number
We all get scared sometimes. Whether we are watching Jaws for the first time or we are facing a human equivalent. I just wish I had done something sooner before I felt pretty much humiliated in front of Jade.
I think I still do.

When the bell rang, Davey tried to hide in the group of students leaving. Mr. D caught him. Davey let out a yelp. He tried to twirl from Mr. D’s death grip, but failed.
“Damn...” Davey hissed.
Mr. D stared at him. Davey tried to squirm. Mr. D pushed his hand in his face, Davey letting out a groan.
“Keep struggling...” Mr. D whispered, “No one will hear you... no one will care...”
Davey felt his body slowly give in. This was hopeless.

Jade sat under Davey’s locker, waiting. He sighed. “Where the hell is he...?”
Adam walked over to him. “Why’re you still here?”
Jade shrugged. “I was waiting for Davey.”
“Maybe he’s talking to a teacher?” Adam asked.
Jade paled. “Oh... God.”
He jumped up. “Okay. Where is Mr. D’s room?”
“Mr. D?” Adam asked, “Oh! Room Two-o-eight.”
Jade dashed. He tripped up the stairs and crawled. He threw the door open, bumping into the janitor. The janitor, a little Italian man, yelled, “Whoa! Whoa! Mister Pew-gee’!”
Jade choked out a, “S-sorry! I... I c-can’t talk now!”
The janitor groaned. “Uh... Mister Pew-gee’? Whader ya goin’ to do wit’ yer life...”
Jade screamed, “Bye, Bob!” and ran to the room Adam spoke of. He tried to open the door. “Shit!” he cried. He slammed at the door and knob. “No! No! No!” He felt like crying. This was pathetic.
Bob walked over to Jade. He waved the master key in his face. “You needa git in?”
Jade choked out, “Please, Bobby! Hurry!”
Bob opened the door. Jade darted in.
Davey looked up, pale. Right against him was the teacher. Mr. D’s eyes gazed at Jade and Bobby. He dropped Davey on the desk, rising up. He made a face. “How unfortunate.”
Jade gulped. “No... you...”
Bobby went to the intercom and announced to the principal that Mr. D was “exposing himself to a student.”
The boys stared at each other, nervous as hell. Jade hugged Davey, mumbling, “Oh my God, oh my God... Davey...”
Davey sighed. “He didn’t get in my pants. Don’t worry.”
Jade looked at Mr. D. Mr. D just stood there, suspiciously calm. The principal came and all Davey could say was, “Don’t tell my mom.”

The principal and Davey reached an agreement that she would notify his mother tomorrow, when he was in school. Jade and he walked to Davey’s house, not wanting to talk about the incident.
Jade gulped. “Were you scared?”
“I was terrified,” Davey mumbled.
“I... I tried to get there as soon as I could.”
“You did well.”
They went into Davey’s house. There was a man in the house. They looked at each other, confused. “Who...?”
Penny looked up from the table with the man. “Oh! Hi!”
The man asked, “Is that your son?”
“Yeah. The short one. The other is his friend, Jade,” Penny explained.
She sounded a little tipsy. “This is Paul, my friend.”
“Hi, Davey. Hi, Jade,” Paul said casually.
“Uhm... can Davey come to my house for dinner?” Jade asked.
“Yeah... okay!” Penny replied, laughing. Needless to say, she sounded a little tipsy.
Davey looked up and saw Mikey. “Oh, Mikey! Com on.”
Jade nodded, grinning. Mikey ran over. They left the house, quick.
“Mommy’s actin’ weird,” Mikey mumbled.
Davey laughed nervously.
“How was school, Davey?” Mikey asked.
Davey shrugged. “Eh...”
Jade rolled his eyes. “You had to be there...”
Davey turned his head and hissed, “Shut up.”
Jade sighed.
They made it to the Puget houshold, Mr. Puget squealing, “Aw! Jade! You brought friends! Guess who’s here as well!”
Jade shrugged.
“Alisha!” Mrs. Puget yelled.
A girl with bleach-blonde hair came in.
“Ah!” Jade screamed, “Frankenstein!”
Davey was going to correct Jade’s mistaking of the monster with the doctor, but deemed it would be rude.
Alisha rolled her eyes. “Great to see you, too.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you!” Davey said, shaking her hand.
“My... aren’t you polite?” she said calmly. She looked at Jade. “He’s definitely new.”
“Yeah. And that’s his brother Mikey,” Jade explained.
She nodded. “Okay.”
Mrs. Puget finished dinner and got them seated. “So... how was school?”
“Okay!” Davey yelled to block out any snide remarks from Jade.
“Sure...” Jade said, “...Wel’ll go with that...”
