Nearly a year and a half later....

I've begun seriously looking into this wedding thing.  I think we might have come up with an idea that works for us- it's in Canada, but 'destination.'  I never liked the idea of a beachy destination wedding, have you seen me? I'm not really a beach person- the amount of sunscreen required for a day at the beach would just blow the damn budget, and ( Read more... )

Are you considering Banff? (ok so Banff and Whistler are the only ones I know)http://www.rockymountainweddings.ca/packages.html Looks like decent prices to me.

See this is why we get along so well. Yes, Banff is the plan, possibly Canmore (15mins from Banff) and Rocky Mountain Wedding is the company I have in mind.

Hmm I read closer... there are package fees PLUS the food and beverage minimum. I missed the last part...you know... since it wasn't in bold.

I wonder if there was a way to add snowflake details even in a non winter wedding...not many. (I really like snowflakes...as long as they're fake! :) )

Oh, I will be in ATL (and BHM) end of Jan. with maybe time on Tues coming back from BHM. I know the day I see Rockwell will include dinner.

right now I'm in town on the 29th if thats when you mean, but I'm low on hours since I took half the month off, so if I can work I need to.

I think if it's a summer or fall thing we'll skip the snowflake thing, I like it, but maybe just keep it basic and minimal decor. I'm not one of those girls that wants flowers everywhere. The package prices are still fairly reasonable with the food and beverage, compared to others I looked at. And there are cuts we will make- neither of us really care about a video, and I might try to get my own photographer. I really don't see having more than 20-30 people so that helps with cost and another good thing about destination.

Yes the 29th. We'll see what happens.

I agree the prices are still reasonable, I just didn't notice them the first time I looked.
