I recently started "The Archives" which is taking everything I have written and posted in miscellaneous places including my lj and putting it all together in one microsoft word document to keep all my stuff together when I need to look at it or read it. And soon I'll take all the stuff that I have written in notebooks and type it in there. ( Read more... )

u oughta put those poems in a journal or something like i do(i stole the idea from somebody else on lj.) i always felt that RD was better then illmatic, yet i strongly feel that nas is better than jay-z. cuz nas's decline from classic was so much slower. i listen to it was written almost as much as i play illmatic. and stillmatic was tight, god's son was decent. so its like nas fell off then got back on. and streets disciple is decent to, but i havent given that a thorough listen yet. meanwhile ive thrown away all my cd-rs of jay-z except reasonable doubt. jay-z fell off, hard, and hasnt gotten back on his game yet. part of the reason i love RD was the beats, they make me reminisce of a time when a mc bein gangsta was ok cuz not everyone did it and niggas had style when they did it. RD was gangsta with style, like gotti askin the cops if he can put on his best suit before they arrest him, and they let him do it ( ... )

Yeah like i had heard or had every other jay-z album except RD and none of them were as thorough as RD. I always tried to hate jay-z but i always ended up liking something off his album and got pulled into it, i mean i give him his credit and all, but now i see what people mean. Like you though, i think nas is better and that he can still make a song as good as any other off illmatic in my opinion or on that level. Street Disciple is good, i'd take maybe 2-4 tracks off to make it better, but you should give it a good listen when you get a chance. Yes i see what you mean RD was gangsta without the gimmicks and overkill...definitely.

A person that thinks their stupidity is intelligence...masters their stupidity by placing up a wall where they hide behind psuedo-intelligence.
But yeah...and even the people that know the most and seem to can be incredibly stupid sometimes. Common sense is not very common at all.

Peace
