Example, definitely heard the song that Immortal Technique sampled a  portion out of for the one remix today at work.And, on ciara's 1, 2 step song..missy's verse is almost completely borrrowed from the great Teena

hehe im the shit. i came to the same realization as u when my parents got me listenin to the oldies r&b station. i hear that song from tech's one remix like everyday at work. all retail places must have the same playlist. i wouldnt be surprised bout missy, i noticed her jackin lyrics b4 on the last album.

and i feel u on concerts. im mad cuz theres a hieroglyphics concert here this saturday and i prolly wont be able to go cuz my parents are protective and id be goin by myself(damn non-underground friends)

yeah when i was younger and my mom used to tell me that whatever song i was listening to was "copying" off an older song i used to blow her off because i thought its the newer music so it has to be better. definitely not always the case. and if i lived near you i'd hit up the concert with you, im familiar with the hieroglyphics, plus i always get a new sense of respect when i see artists performing. (well most that is)
