I had a huge post last night about how almost everyone i know was pissing me off lately or somehow being an inconsiderate asshole, but I definitely don't feel like retyping it, lets just say i feel underappreciated

Anyway I read an article on yahoo news that sparked some kind of statement on violence. It was about how this professor from Kansas was ( Read more... )

religion has started many wars. trying to influence those that are "unbelievers" that my way is rite and that yours is wrong sinful dumb. some people believe in something so blindly but are quick to dismiss others that are the same way.

yeah we definitely talked about this before on the phone. people choose what they want to believe in based on how they live their lives and what is best for them. for me to go to someone that may have a totally different experience and background from me and be pissed off they dont believe what i do is simply ridiculous.

whats blows me is that cats will see something like this, and write off all organized religion. just cuz some ppl take it too far doesn't mean that the whole thing is bad. this is more in response to a post a friend of mine made than to ur post. but it relates. ive seen a couple ppl leave religion cuz of bullshit like the crusades. makes me mad cuz trynna be christian without help from other christians is very hard IMO...

i think that most people that write off organizied religion still have a belief in whatever it was they originally worshipped, but prefer not to go to church or become affiliated with it. I think when stuff like this occurs it gives more a reason for non-believers in that particular faith to use it as a reason against religion.

But like anything if you believe in it you shouldnt let isolated things or other peoples ignorance take away what is important to you. If a person does than their belief in something may not have been that strong to begin with or they were questioning it for awhile. but everything depends on the individual.
