too bad we couldn't have hung out or talked or anything. i tried looking for you after the show, but all the chaos just had everything a bit too crazy to sort through that crowd.
anyway, glad you had a good time! it sure was an insane show.
yeah, Claire and I sorta slowly rotated around the back of the stage, seeing which band members we could spot and talk to
afterwards, we just walked gohram back (hoping we could catch the saferide) - we looked around the east side of the stage to see if you guys were still around, but it was so dark, and things were crazy anyway
didn't know you were coming down! it WAS a great show (aside from the darkness, the drunk girl, the cold, the wind, the short set, etc), and it was good to at least see you from a distance :P
let us know if you pop into town for any other shows
p.s. can you suggest anything similar to rjd2? it's great stuff for the coffeeshop
yeah, i had planned on going to the show for a long time, but completely forgot about it until the day of or else i would have for sure let you know i was coming into town.
i still love rjd2's 'deadringer.' a classic album. for stuff similar, of course there is dj shadow. you should also check out the avalanches [more upbeat, pop-oriented collages], daedelus [great stuff that samples about every instrument imaginable], or blockhead [very similar to rj and shadow]. let me know what you think once you have a chance to listen to them.
