I have been thinking about a Metoidioplasty. I haven't reached any conclusions yet but I figured I would invest in a pump from Dr.Meltzer's office. That is all.

I've been thinking a lot about bottom surgery after the conference too. I went to the website they gave me, pumptoys.com...but they all seem too big. if you talk to them, can you tell me what they say? as far as purchasing a pump, that is...

thanks!

Yeah, the pumps seem a bit extreme but it looks like you can order the cylinders, tubing, and cuplings separately and there are starter kits too. I would rather get the product from Dr.Meltzer's office because it seems more discrete. I won't be purchasing it for another few weeks but when I do I will inform you on what Dr.Meltzer had to say!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! And P.S. did you happen to read that facebook message a sent you a few days ago?

And since I can't edit comments, I wanted to say that that sounds really cool. It is really amazing what surgeons can do these days! I'd say that if it's what you want, go for it! You've got my support.

Hey Rachel, I am glad you took it upon yourself to do some research! And yes, I am amazed at all the things that doctors can do. I find medical procedures in general to be incredibly intriguing. I haven't reached any conclusions around the meta yet but it has been on my mind quite a bit so I figured I should make some baby steps towards that direction.

Off topic though, I hope you're doing well and I love your icon!

Well, I figure that the fight against ignorance is best won through education. I'll probably do some more searching around and stuff.

And thanks. This one or the Scarlett Johanson one?

Wait...nix the last sentence. I've been switching out icons and completely forgot what I was doing!

hey dude,
if you ever wanna chat about it, you know I had a meta and stuff. It wasn't with the same surgeon you're looking into and the techniques are different, but what it's worth, I'm willing to talk about my experience/extend whatever info I've got on Melzter.

Jacob, I would love to chat about your experience with Bowers, correct? And about your emotional journey as well throughout the healing process and such. I would also appreciate any additional information about Dr.Meltzer. I believe his procedures in general are more costly than Bowers, am I right? My AIM is Whollyhuman and if I'm not online, feel free to email me at dontassume@gmail.com

In general, I suppose I am looking for information regarding your prep care before surgery (i.e. how long did you pump for, did you notice any changes while pumping?), cost, after care, and again, your emotional experience through everything.

I would love to connect some time!

i think about a meta too, in a sort of 'well maybe someday' way. if i had the money i'd probably do it a lot sooner.. i guess there's other things i want to spend the money on more at the moment though. it's not this urgent necessity for me like top surgery was.

I completely understand, Jesse. I feel the same way about the "well maybe someday" but the way I see it, the least I can do is take baby steps towards that. Chest surgery was way more urgent.

On a non-penis note, I hope you and Laura have a wonderful Thanksgiving! My thoughts are with you two.
