See, there's this shiny book out there called the Serenity Roleplaying Game. Said book has descriptions for many of the planets in the 'Verse, although not all of them. I only recently figured this out. Since it's a pain to run a Firefly AU without proper description of things, I'm typing up the entries here. One at a time. oh god help me now. ( Read more... )

It's always been my suspicion. Simon needed to be on the same planet as the Academy to rescue River, because how else would he have done it without anyone going 'dude, why is this young surgeon going offworld when he has a job HERE?'

I also think too much. :)

I'm actually dead curious about currency, and also about how one fuels a firefly and how far it can fly on a full 'tank', whatever that is.

Does your totally awesome sourcebook have any info on where Kaylee came from? I'd love to know what her home planet was like.

...ooooh, that's a good one. Lemme check.

Do you know which planet she's from, specifically? I don't think it names one in particular in the book.

Sadly, I have no idea exactly where Kaylee comes from. I'm not sure it's ever said. But then, I don't remember where it says where Mal's from either.

Mal's has actually been said more than once, I think. Once for sure in Our Mrs. Reynolds, once in Dead or Alive (which was the unshot script), and I think maybe in the movie as well. I'll have to check.
