You can still hold out hope for the future without devoting yourself entirely to someone who has made it kind of clear that's not what they want. I'd hate to see you make yourself miserable for two years when the future is so uncertain. The exact moment that you're in is all that you can really count on, and you should do your best to make that as enjoyable as possible. I'm not saying go crazy and blow everything off, but I'd hate to see you meet someone you like but not do anything about it because you're waiting for something that may or may not happen. Kyle could still be a part of your future, but that doesn't mean you have to put the present on pause for that to be so.
