yeah, I've read quite a few articles like this, and oddly enough... the majority of the ED people that I know offline are male.
hmmm... *shrugs*
it seems like it would be more of a "macho" thing to me... I mean, men often want to show self restraint...
but then the media shows eating disorders to be more of a "vanity" thing, and that people only do it to appear more delicate, so ofcorse men would be horrified of it.
Dessy [my partner that I mentioned in my most recent entry] had hardcore bulimia and anorexia before she came out of the closet about being transexual [so when everyone just considered her to be a normal guy] and she still suffers from anorexia....
it's pretty intense... there's alot that people don't know about eating disorders, and they really should be educated... it could do the world some good.

thank you, that really helped. you're absolutely right about the world needing to be more aware of eating disorders. i personally think some men are afraid of eating disorders because it makes them feel weak but i see you're point about it making them seem "macho". its all very interesting lol.

so has your partner been suffering for most of her life? has she seeked help? because i always wanted to know if it would ever go away?

Eating disorders are definitely a problem for both genders.

I saw you added me the other day; may I ask how ya found me and what prompted you to add me? It's totally cool; I'm just curious!
