[FM] Set down my bags and I'll stay a bit longer...

The only reason she even had a set of keys to his house was because she knew he was usually out back swimming these days, or somewhere that he wasn't going to hear her knocking, and a broken doorbell was a simple fix of her snipping a wire in the base. It was a given that it was easier to give her a key instead of letting her stand out in the heat ( Read more... )

He didn't hear the key in the lock, given that he had the TV up to a pleasantly too loud volume, but he heard her footsteps echoing in the foyer of the large two story house he was renting. The sound made him smile as he eased back more comfortably in the sofa, one hand drifting up to rake his hair back from his face, still damp from his most recent swim. It was a pleasant diversion, lounging in his living room with the volume cranked up...no Others to worry about hiding from, no Freckles or Doc around to bother him ( ... )

She fell into the kiss a bit deeper than she intended to, but it seemed to be something that happened a bit too frequent for her tastes. This was supposed to be a job, but there was something about that southern drawl... and those well worn hands that drew her in a bit more. Her finger poked at his side as he teased her about the scene that had just passed. Four guest spots and the episodes seemed to be in a state of perpetual syndication, something that he seemed to take advantage of.

"Well the acting thing hasn't exactly soured on me just yet, but I'll keep that in mind," Nikki teased as she shifted to her knees beside him on the couch, her fingers brushing his hair away from his eyes. She tried to look at him with some newfound sight, see if he was really being genuine. In the back of her mind she wondered if that was the same way her sister felt.

Smiling at him she eased onto his lap, tucking her legs against him, "Got any ones?"

"Ones, fives, tens, twenties...point me at an ATM, and you can keep me here all day long, *Corvette.*" he teased, hands settling on her hips for a moment as she straddled his lap. Letting one hand slide up along her body to curl around the nape of her neck, he drew her in for a warm, lingering kiss he made sure she felt clean to her toes.

Yeah, he really liked this girl...and he didn't like many of the women he slept with. It was just icing on the cake, and he was careful not to let it go any further...

Least he thought so. It would be so easy to get her on her back and have himself a nice little 'afternoon delight,' but instead when the kiss broke, he just ran his fingers through her hair and smiled, his mouth still moving...still just *talking.*

"So...flight was okay?" he asked with a smile.

Kisses like the one he gave her made what she was doing all the more dangerous. Forget guns and stolen credit cards, throw all the rules out of the window because kisses like that could sink a woman with ease, and Nikki knew that she wasn't just a woman she was a woman that knew exactly who he was... and she still could feel a kiss like that through and through.

Slouching a bit on his lap she let her posture suffer for the moment as she relived the flight from back home to this home...

"It was long, but it's over now at least." Nikki sighed for a moment and curled herself up against him, letting her head tuck under his chin as she listened to his heart and let her legs shift along the couch cushions for the moment. "I'll ba happy when I've got enough status to just get my own private jet," her hand traced against his jawline a bit before resting against his shoulder, "I'd make you join the Mile High Club every flight. Verify that membership for sure," she teased.

"Maybe I don't mind a little corruption coming from you," Nikki admitted to not only him but herself with a bit more honesty than she had expected. The lines between what she knew she had to do and what she wanted to do were constantly blurring into each other and despite hating that she wanted to keep it up, she still managed to ignore the voice in her head telling her to stop falling for him ( ... )

When he realized the door had been stuck by none other than the bubbly little bundle of trouble outside, Sawyer found himself smiling...real and true, a broad grin with just a little surprise in it. Leaning against the doorjamb, he rested one arm against the wall and just watched as she performed for him...she'd obviously taken her training for EXPOSE seriously, because every move he saw, he'd seen before either on the show or in some of his favorite topless joints over the years ( ... )
