Need a little icon help...

After tossing around possible ideas as to who would portray Phillip in a movie, names from Russell Crowe (Romper Stomper-style) to Billy Bob Thorton were tossed out.

Then I remembered this guy from "Brick". See the trailer here.

Does he fit?

I think he might be too young... like not... pointy enough... and just a -little- too 8 Mile.

Agreed that he is not quite as Pointy, but then, larger digressions have been made in the selection of LJ icons. I think the hollow, beat-you-up eyes work well.

I have to agree that I think he's too young. And is Philip really that muscular? Maybe I only pictured him as lanky because his player is...

Phil's a pretty stocky dude. Like...rugby-built, which, granted, I am not. But lifting all sorts of heavy crates and things for a few years will do some chiseling to your arms, I think.

That and Phil now has a heavy bag with the word 'Savage' scrawled on it. Needless to say, he gets a good work-out each night.

And I know he's too young. But he does sorta get the message across.

I think it's a decent fit, and he has that look on his face through pretty much the entire movie...

Oh, I finally saw the clip during my lunch break on Friday, and I forgot to mention that it looks pretty neat. Film Noir made Modern with gangs and drugs ohnoz!
