You ever have inspiration for a story idea that looks fun to try, but its so controversial that if not done perfectly, could very well turn more than ugly?

Yeah, I have one of those currently. I'm not sure what to do with it or if I should mention more of it.

I would write the first chapter or two, then ask someone who you trust not to flip their shit to read it for you and give you advice on where to take it and if you've handled the subject well enough.
