{The feed turns on with a whump, seems like something heavy was set near by and jarred the device on. You can see a view of the Nakamapartment and Ace is pretty darn close to the thing. You can see only his chest and abs.}

--ffy! We finally finished the repairs to the Hardy, she should be ready to sail to Spero whenever you want!

[Sneaks up on him, and just stands next to him and hands him a bottle.]

He'll be okay. [His voice isn't as steady as he'd like, but he holds onto Ace with a one-armed hug on the shoulders and refuses to let go.]

{He's sitting there, on the rail of the Hardy, back to the pier and eyes cast out over the lake listlessly. He doesn't even notice Marco is there till the bottle is stuck into his periphery and he slowly looks at it. He then takes it, looking kind of emptily at it as that arm is thrown around his shoulders. He bows his head, fingers firmly clutching both the Straw Hat and that bottle of booze.}

... I know. I know he'll be fine I just--

{He swallowed softly.} I never get to say goodbye. I'll never see him again... {Back home and it's unlikely he'll be back. He didn't want him to come back either, he belonged at home. But that didn't mean he wouldn't miss him terribly.}

You might. I didn't think I'd see you again, eh?

[Hugs tighter.]

No. I don't want to see him here again. He belongs in the Grand Line where he can become the Pirate King.

{Setting the bottle between his thighs so he can reach up and grasp your forearm tightly.} ... I just wish I could be there to see that day.

[Japan sees this and frowns. By now, he can know what this means...

It takes him a little bit, but he'll get to the Weather Hardy and glance around for Ace. Once he spots him he'll step towards him.]

...Ace-kun?

{Ace is perched somewhat precariously on the rail of the ship, facing out over the lake. He doesn't notice someone is there until Japan speaks up. His back straightens up a little but he doesn't look back.}

Hey Kiku. {His voice is somewhat sullen and lacking.}

[Japan wasn't quite sure if he knew how Ace felt. Taiwan's repeated arrivals and leaving were something that had been upsetting, and yet... Ace and Luffy were much closer, weren't they? Japan didn't feel he could be nearly as close to his family as the pirates seemed to be with each other.

He moved over to the rail, placing his hands on it carefully as he looked to Ace.]

...Do you care to share your thoughts?

... {A lengthy pause as he tries to even sort his thoughts to find something good to even say.}

I'm kind of glad he's gone. Even if I miss him already.

[He doesn't usually do this, but maybe Ace, Marco and Japan have really been getting to him. It's not rocket science to find Ace. When he does he steps onto the ship, looking at the sails and remembering other people. Franky, Sanji, Nami, Chopper, Zoro- he knows there were more though he was never properly introduced. He supposes it doesn't matter though.

Instead he takes a seat nearby, not saying anything. He didn't really come to talk and he doubts Ace really wants to. It's the being there part that counts. Or so he's guessing, he doesn't exactly have much practice at this.]

{For one reason or another Ace is sprawled out over the deck with Luffy's hat resting on his chest. He's staring somewhat blankly up through the sails at the sky and doesn't seem to really notice Seifer's approach. His eyes barely shift towards him when the other takes a seat nearby in silence. Ace isn't sure what to say either. He almost feels like apologizing for making Seifer concerned enough to actually come out here and try to be a friend. He knew just as well how unlike him it was.}

[Seifer just sits, not thinking of much in particular. He doesn't mind being quiet. After a significant amount of time passes though he gets up and leaves, coming back with cinnamon buns. It's useful having a soup kitchen around. He offers one to Ace though he doesn't look at the pirate, staring up at the sky instead.]

Nice weather. For Discedo.

[Hmmm...]

{Ace doesn't seem bothered that the blond leaves his side, but he doesn't think he'd be back. He's rather surprised when a cinnamon bun is stuck out over his face so he can see it. He hesitates but reaches out to take it. He slowly shifts to sit up so he can eat. He takes a bite before curiously looking at Seifer.

What was this? He was so utterly confused.} ...yeah. I guess.

{Nom nom slowly eating the treat and sort of taking his time to enjoy it too.}

Ace-san...?

[Voice] Delayed a few hours.

{A pause before he finally lets a little chuckle find it's way into his voice.} H-hey, it's okay. Really, he's where he belongs.
