{Ace watched the man approached, raising his chin slightly in his strength. He held his ground, unafraid of what was coming. He'd take it like a man and endure. Like he always had.

He took the blow full on, feeling the strength and weight of the man bowl him over and knock him off his feet. He may have been airborne, he wasn't certain, he was too busy trying to get his shattered mind together enough to realize he couldn't breath. All he was aware of was his back hitting the pavement, feeling it rip at his jacket before he flipped over a few times and rolled to a stop on his stomach.

It was here he managed to have the chance to try and suck air back into his lungs. He coughed as he slowly got back to his feet. Standing to face the man again with a stern, determined expression.}

[Anji was a whirlwind of fury but graceful emotion. He saw not a man, but a lecher, and while he did not see his crime as anything more than simple perversion, he felt the crime against that one woman was enough to move him.

{The iron fan hit him with ungodly force, something he hadn't felt in forever. His head twisted to the side as he winced, staggering and toppling to the ground once more. He spit blood across the white snow and shifted to get up once more.}

The word hit him harder than any retaliating blow. While his penchant not to think things through had him oftentimes running into trouble he did not wager for, his journey for answers in truth always cleared him a reasonable path.

{His hat was hanging off his back now, tossed there at some point during their tussle. He swayed a little where he stood, light-headed from the blow and feeling the headache from earlier. It was all a bit much. He shook it off regardless and stood upright before the man.

[Listening with scrutiny, picking apart each word he spoke like a true skeptic in search for the answers of the universe, Anji folded his arms, honing in for any guile in Ace's words.

He found none, most especially when he spoke of freedom. Something he has strived for his entire life and sought to secure for Baiken and himself. That woman was as precious to him as that single pursuit, she drove him to continue it after all.

To see something bring shame to her was a blemish on himself, and while he had hardened his heart in the moments before, the man's passionate vindication had him seeing clearly.]
