Sure thing! I've been meaning to hang out with Shinji more too! As well as the log is excellent for new CR! \o/

And also Cube is adorable.

Other than possibly a half-gone bottle of Vodka (if Sweden gives it to him) and possibly a bottle of some other sort of alcohol (Cause I'm sure his basket had one.) Ace may bring some fresh foods (from his basket) though uh... he's really not sure what to give Shinji for his birthday.

Pirate parties mostly consist of drinking and games, which may or may not involve more drinking.

Sorry I haven't been around much, called a slowatus cause I've been uber busy with work and the like. Life is just generally eating me. But I'll try to jump on your posts more when I see them.

Hi! i was wondering if you were going to post on the hmd but since you didn't, i decided i would just take my concern over here.

one thing i don't get is why ace wasn't actually injured when he was shot at by the npc. i can understand wanting to keep your characters out of harms way and i know that's really hard with such a hands-on character like ace but a bit part of the plot was no-powers, meaning ace wouldn't be able to just fizzle out and let the bullet pass through. with the way aces powers are, he goes really human when he doesnt have his powers. and thats how you played him for a long time right? normally you take these things into account and work with the setting given but this just didn't make sense to me. it bothered me a little and i just wondered what your thoughts were when you did that

The plot didn't take away the powers completely. It let the characters have their passive abilities. One of his abilities is to become insubstantial (Fire) to allow bullets, swords and the like to pass through him. Judging by the instances I've seen in canon (manga or anime), there are a lot of times Ace was attacked from behind or faster than he could have anticipated, but the bullets and the like still passed through. I've been treating this as sort of a natural defense of his devils fruit. I also asked a mod about this on the post about the plot where they detailed the whole, taking away powers thing. They approved sort of a half-way point, which is what I tried to convey in my tags. So I'll just link you here to that. I would also like to note that he did not come out of that unscathed at all. He retained some wounds from the gunshots they just weren't as deep, through-and-through, or fatal. I'm sure I stated that he was bleeding at one point, I ( ... )
