"Here we go," Jamie said softly, assisting Evelyn through to her living room couch. "I can bring you a change of clothes and everything to wash up. I'll be right back, okay

Evelyn smiled at the friendly young woman, even though she was exhausted, and she settled onto the couch, nodding at Jamie.
Closing her eyes, her head hurt. She could remember dim bits and pieces. Horrible things that felt more like a nightmare than real memories. Maybe they were nightmares. Maybe she'd just hallucinated everything in a comatose state. She didn't relaly know.
Staring at her hands, she hear Jamie shuffling around and she stood slowly.
She was so focused on making sure every single opening in her apartment was being covered with just enough salt without running out that the sound of Evelyn's voice made Jamie snap back to the present.
"Oh-- no, that's fine," she replied, calling back from the dining room. She didn't know much about all the standard procedures relating to demons, and it probably looked like she was some crazed superstitious person, Jamie figured.
Crossing back into the living room, she smiled to her guest, a pair of fresh clothes under one arm and the box of kitchen salt in the other. "It's just precaution," she mumbled, gesturing to the salt as she made one more line across the last window sill. "My friend should be here really soon.. he's... err, very knowledgeable with this sort of thing."
Satisfied, Jamie closed the almost-empty box and set it down before moving back to Evelyn, holding out the change of clothes for her. "Can I get you anything else?"
ooc: gah! so sorry - i'm on vacation this week, so I was going frantic packing and stuff, but I'm around now!
Evelyn nodded, reaching up to run her hands back through her hair. She tilted her head to watch Jamie with the salt, vaguely recalling what it was for. She had a dim feeling of unease at the salt, but it was more an echo of her former tenant than anything else.
"Good...I'm glad that someone believes me...you do, don't you? Believe me?" she asks, frowning softly down at her hands. She glances up when Jamie walks back in and she smiles faintly, taking the clothes. "No, this...this will be just fine. Thank you."
