Does he now! See, this is why I need to acquaint myself better with the Henry VIs. (I listened to VI 1 on tape in the car with my dad and loved it QUITE A LOT, although perhaps I was biased because The Talbot had the same voice actor as Brutus in the JC we'd just listened to, and Henry VI was David Tennant. So, y'know, that was awesome.)

He sure does! In fact he kills Henry VI (as you might have guessed, since we do get to see Henry post-stabbination in the first act of Richard III) and it is an utterly harrowing scene. Especially in the RSC version I saw...nearly a decade ago, holy shit. (There was a lot of blood. It was awesome. I will tell you about it if you don't mind hearing about how the scene goes before reading/seeing it.)

Also TENNANT!HENRY VI. I HAVE THAT. HE IS SO CUTE.

I love the Henry VIs, at any rate. They are not as polished as Shakespeare's later work, sure, but they are utterly electric as theater. You might check out the 1983 BBC version, which is just fantastic -- the best of the series by far, for my money.

Oh snap! Why don't I know more English history, that is awesome. (And why haven't they taught me any in school?) Hmm... Well, go for it, I don't mind being 'spoiled' on Shakespeare anyway. :P

ISN'T HE? <3 Every time I see criticism of Henry VI, the king or the character, I think "But... David Tennant!" XD

Ooh, okay. Are there bits of it on Youtube? Also, I have been meaning to ask you, is An Age of Kings (I think that's what it's called) any good?
