My daddy is dying.

I've known for a while now that his dying was a possibility, especially with his behaviour not helping him any - but now I know that even if he had behaved, there would have been nothing that could have been done to save him.

I sympathize ... my dad has been chronically ill, and is getting worse every day. It's something I have been scared to face (and is easier to avoid living in a different state), and I admire you for having the strength to face it head-on.

There is nothing like having a suicidal parent. My dad struggles with this a lot as a result of his chronic illness. He used to have guns in the garage, and I'd be on pins and needles at night just waiting for the sound of a gun shot. Fortunately my mom took the guns and hid them.

Anyway, you are all in my thoughts. *Lots and lots of hugs*
