Tribute to my Father

I created a photo montage for my dad's funeral. For a first attempt at any vid-making, I think it came out okay. I'll try to embed it here - if that doesn't work, you can see it HERE.

It's beautiful.

The ones with the red "car" and the one with the paper crown made me smile. I know it's absurd, but I feel like I can tell who he was from that montage, how much he loved his family. I think it's very well done

*grin* Yes, he did love that dirt bike ride... and since the photos were professionally taken they actually looked decent.

I really tried hard to bring his personality across in that little vid, so I'm glad to hear it worked. We aren't much of a family that takes a lot of photos of ourselves, and when we did Dad was usually the one behind the camera. So getting photos of him - especially good ones - was hard. I'm really happy to hear that it worked well enough that someone who never met him knew him a bit from the vid.

It's okay. He was very sick for a very long time, and he wanted to go. I'm glad for him that he isn't so exhausted or in pain anymore

Thanks. I didn't have as many photos to work with as I would have liked, but I think it's a good celebration of his life all in all. Forty-two years of marriage (well, officially nine days away from making it there), two daughters and a wife who all loved him to pieces, and whom he loved back just as much.
