Yesterday was, in a word, disturbing on very many levels. There's probably a lot of TMI in this, particularly in the section on my volunteering session, so skip it if you are of tender mind.

Yeah, it was kind of like that. Mainly I was scared that I'd get into some sort of trouble for doing it - that someone might see it from behind when they were outside the window and think I was touching her inappropriately. A while back I got very tired (I was doing four hours on Monday and four hours on Tuesday at that time, with one of those hours being my lunch break) and I'd often take quick naps during that hour on the couches meant for residents, visitors and staff on their breaks. Unfortunately the staff thought that meant I couldn't handle the strain because of my lupus, and suggested to the higher-ups that I leave the volunteer program (their intentions were good, they were only worried for me.) Luckily for me, the volunteer supervisor Greg Colby was (and is) very fond of me, and I'm pretty sure he went to bat hard with the Powers That Be to keep me in the program because he knows how much it means to me to do it. But my hours were reduced from four hours on each day to two (and I'll admit, it was probably for the best). I'm ( ... )
