So, Mum and I went to Uncle John's (that's what I will call him, since trying to keep track of relations has been very complicated today) funeral. Everybody was very glad to see us there, apparently. One of my cousins has been designated the family genealogist for that very reason.

I think that if one person got designated the family genealogist in that lot, the rest would plot to usurp the Family Tree Throne. Seriously, they seem nuts about it. Me, I find it bewildering as to why I should be interested about people who may or may not have been a pirate, even if they are some distant ancestor of mine.

Ah, not as exciting as the one who married the daughter then the mother (or something like that - my mother's family is geneology mad). Although I haven't been to a family-tree meeting for a couple of years (I think they are still held once a month on a Wednesday), it's all about Hatches, Matches and Dispatches (work that one out), and they are all interested in meeting Adam. I must try to get to the next one.
