What the hell is going on?

It's been snowing today, and in some places a little farther north, it's been staying on the ground.  I'm not talking a little bit, I'm talking a lot.  I was talking to my Mum, and she said it had been snowing there since 9:00 this morning, and they had a lot on the ground. Unbelieveable!  One of my friends out west used to say that it started

Not yet, it hasn't quite gone as low as 32 degrees yet. Possibly tonight though. :(
