Does anyone know a good heating charm that will work just as well as a muggle microwave? I have the sudden urge for take out, and the only thing close to that is asking mum to owl me some instant dinners. However since I have no desire to eat them cold I need an alternate source to heat it up ( Read more... )

Microwave. It's used to heat things up, like leftovers, popcorn etc.

They aren't mini. Well I suppose you could buy a smaller one, but for the most part they're usually all the same size.

While you're looking up kitchen appliances, the 'refrigerator' and 'oven/stove' might be of interest as well. Also look up 'toaster'. If we ever get muggle stuff in Hogwarts, I'll show you how to use them.

Agreed about the Nintendo bit. Though I suppose that would result in even less homework being done than already is. Or isn't, actually.

Probably, but it's not like we don't already have games here. I'm just not a big fan of chess. Gave up game board games when I was 10.

No problemo.
Take out is what we call food you buy that is already cook for you. Also know as fast food. It's not the most healthy thing, but it usually taste good.
I think I explained microwaves to the best of my abilities.
Nintendo is possibly one of the greatest inventions ever. You play games on the tv with this controller. Mum calls it "mindless dribble" but it's a fun pastime. I recommend trying it if you have the chance.
