Back in my room. For the first time since 8:30 this morning.

Keep in mind that I live on campus. In the dorms.

So. Let's see my week in terms of Costuming (a 4-credit-hour class). . .and I'm only putting the things I had to physically be in the shop for.

search anyone's LJ or xanga history who was on the musical costume crew last year. you'll find the exact same rant, probably almost word for word. i know it's unfair that some crews have tons more work than others, and i'm not saying you don't have the right to rant, because i certainly ranted like this too (once again i wasn't sure if i was reading my journal or yours hehehe). the thing is though, that next year, you'll be reading someone's journal with a similar rant, and you'll be thinking... yeah... that's just kinda how it is. and the people in the costume shop are too stressed to help out the freshmen, and yeah they could be nicer, but really they're just thinking "this is how it is. this is the situation every year for some overwhelmed freshmen." is it fair? not really. and yeah they could be nicer. but it's not gonna happen. not from them ( ... )

I can definitely understand, even though my experience has been pit and not crew. There often is absolutely no recognition or acknowledgment, name gets left off programs, etc., and you work at least as hard as the stars of the shows. I just look at the final product and feel proud that I was a big part of what made it successful.

In other news, I'm playing for a production of Honk, Jr. this week... only instead of it being at a high school, this is elementary school kids doing it. Paschal really fucked you last year on that one.

Congratulations on your test. I love you and I tell people all the time how proud I am of my little sister.
