So Im in an advanced literature class and we are going over poetry. It reminded me that I haven't been writing like I said I would. So here is what im going to do about it.

Leave in comment 5-7 different words and a theme, I will come up with a poem useing those words.

The responsibility of life grows
Family and work needs are met
Children for some, not for all
A hero in a small one's eyes
Love of another or love of yourself
Face the challenges of being an adult

Theme: heartbreak

Words: love, pain, reject, heart, sorrow

(No, it isn't a reflection of my mood...just curious as to what you could come up with).

A shattered love, spilled upon the floor-
Your rejection was the hand that tipped the balance-
Pain is the towel to dry the mess-
The stain left on the floor is sorrow-
Why does my heart make such a mess-

hmmm... not sure about this one.

Winter's Rush-

The sharp intake of cold air
Smow crackles below my feet,

Untouched blankets of white so fair
My breath is smoke to the sky greet,

My skin grows red in the chill
While I watch the crystals fall.
