I believe you. It just bugs me that LJ would make money (whether or not you buy their crap, they still pay LJ something) off of content I provided for free. But the ads only show to people who aren't logged-in, so by making my journal friends only, I'm basically neutralizing the effect of the ads.

And honestly, nobody reads this journal who isn't on my friends list, anyway. Or I will be surprised if it turns out anyone does.
