Market Day

I had a gameplan for going to the Farmer's Market on Saturday.  I bundled up and packed up some paper bags and some ziploc bags (just in case).  I figure the Farmer's Market has hosted a fair share of hippie shoppers.  Either they were as unsuccessful as I was, or they just aren't that committed.  Purchase number one: 5 lbs. of potatoes (for $1.00 ( Read more... )

I snagged that giant newspaper bag from work. Now I'll be less burdened when you decide to make me your pack mule at the Farmer's Market. (Though it was totally worth it to get that chocolate, peanut butter cookie from the cute anarchist.)

Also, you need to take pictures of you carrying around your bag of trash -- you're kind of slacking in that department. (Where was it at Katy's Birthday party??)

PS. Have you considered inviting Black Bear Bakery to Earth Day? They do provide healthy, eco-friendly foods.

I can't tell the baggers at Schnuck's fast enought that I've brought my own/want paper/really don't need the bag of potatoes, well um, bagged.

Consumerism and packaging sucks...

After having the market people weigh your food in their bags, have them simply dump the contents into your bag. That way they can reuse their bag and it's not you wasting.

Also, the loal stuff doesn't come out until spring. Damn there being winters.
