movie review: children of men

This is probably the best movie I have seen of 2007 and maybe even 2006. If you don't know the story, it takes place in 2027 and the world has been thrown into chaos because people can't reproduce and the youngest person in the world has just died at 18. It is a future that seems attainable, it seems real, it seems like it could happen. There are

I didn't like it purely due to the violent and depressing nature - that, and I found it dragged on, and just didn't capture my attention as well as it could have.

But having said that, I'll probably read the book :)
