That realtor is a SAINT. And very smart, too!

And this story is adorable!

Carol is the Queen of Estate Agents, not just for taking on Sherlock, but for winning!

Glad you enjoyed it!

Aww this was lovely. I can imagine that Sherlock would be a complete nightmare to find the right house for.

Also, I'm from Worthing, and the idea of Sherlock and John settling here amuses me no end. I'd love to see Sherlock take on the town XD

In Canon they move to Eastbourne, but I have a bit of a soft spot for Worthing as a retirement location so decided to change it up just a little. I can just imagine Sherlock and John heading into town after a pub Sunday roast and walking along the prom with Gladstone on a lead and Sherlock deducing the life histories of all the old blue-rinse grannies. Maybe they'll eat ice cream and Sherlock will make comments about how everyone is so old and John will point out they're old too and Sherlock will laugh and refuse to believe it.

.... And as you can see. I do love retirement boys!

(And thank you, I'm really glad you like the story!)

They would totally fit in here, but they'd also be a welcome change compared to all the other retired people. If they're not on the seafront next time I'm there I'm going to be pretty disappointed. I'm going to keep an eye out for a couple with a bulldog for a long time.

Retirement boys are completely adorable, even though them leaving 221b is quite sad.

I think there are very few places that Sherlock and John could go, even in retirement, and not cause a stir! Though I do hope one day you find them, playing fetch with Gladstone and holding hands.

There is something so very bittersweet about them leaving 221b, isn't there? Though I do think, when Sherlock gets used to relaxing, they'll be just as happy, if in a different way.

I viewed a 70s bungalow not long ago and my reaction was pretty much the same for almost exactly the same reason.

Lovely fic! Retirement fics make me feel all smishy <3

My grandparents used to live in a 70s bungalow, which it may or may not have been a strong influence here ;)

I love retirement fics too, I can't believe it's taken me this long to turn my hand at one, but I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Aw, thank you! While I think the boys leaving 221b is very sad, isn't all doom and gloom and that's what I wanted.
