This is wonderful! Simply stunning. I've never read neverwhere but I got the gist just fine, so no worries there. I would like to find out more about Mycroft. I mean, I assume at some point he loved his brother, right? So how did he get from that to where he is in this fic?

Thank you! First comment on something so long is always a bit nerve-wracking!

There certainly is more to how far, and deep Mycroft's manipulation goes. This only touches the surface, and hints, at what he's done. I'm sure there was a time when he loved his brother, but power can corrupt, and Mycroft had a lot of it when he found out there was an entire world he didn't have any control over.

(And if you've not read Neverwhere and liked this, then I strongly recommend you giving it a try. Though Gaiman is my favourite author, so I'm rather biased.)

I'm always thrilled to have Neverwhere AUs pop up in my fandoms (it was the first book by Gaiman that I read, and I've got a soft spot for it), so I knew I had to read this the moment it showed up on my flist.

I think my favourite scene is where they visit the Floating Market, because that was done so well, and completely captured London Below. Another highlight was Sherlock's backstory, which suits him so well, and makes his coming to Below entirely believable (Also, Sherlock's relief when he saw Mycroft broke my heart, because John knew that something was wrong. Poor Sherlock)

The amount of work put into this is amazing, and it's very apparent. The story feels so whole -- it's established, and then unfolds at a perfect pace. And the ending, when you know that John will settle into London Below just fine. It's fantastic. <3

OH and I forgot to mention, having Molly as a rat speaker -- I loved that little detail, because the idea of her taking Sherlock in and being his guide at first was such a clever way to combine Sherlock and Neverwhere's canons.

Good Omen's was my first Gaiman, but Neverwhere was my second and like you, I have a real soft spot for it. It's such a wonderful universe, and it's been a real pleasure to play in it, so it's really wonderful to have feedback from someone who is as fond of it as I am!

Can you tell the Floating Market is one of my favourite places Below? It can (and does) seem so bleak when Richard (and John) both fall through and then there's the market, so vibrant and full of life and possibility. I could have written tomes on John and Sherlock (and may do one day!), so again I'm really happy that you enjoyed that scene, knowing Neverwhere.

Thank you, for wonderful comment! I was very nervous about Neverwhere fans reading and finding this lacking! I'm really glad you enjoyed it!!!

Holy FUCK that was excellent. As a fan of both Neverwhere and Sherlock I adore the way you've combined the two into a whole new, exciting adventure. Great job!

My God, you did it brilliantly! Fusing two fandoms is always hard, but you weaved them together in just the right way! (And I squeed a bit at the mention of Door. :D) Oh, and the tailor Edge Wear... brilliant!

I enjoyed this so, so much and I can't even begin to think how much work you must have put into this. So thank you so much for this jewel!

Thank you!

I must admit, I was very nervous about how people familiar with Neverwhere would find this, as I love the universe so much and wanted to do it credit, so yes a lot of work was involved but it was a great deal of fun too! And I did enjoy littering in a few Neverwhere canon references :)

This was wonderful. I love the novel and think you did a lovely job merging Below with BBC Sherlock (and as you say, Sherlock in Regency clothing is pretty terrific. Whatever will John wear?). I was desperately sorry that Mycroft betrayed Sherlock, but so glad John was there for him. Thank you.

No, thank you! I'm really pleased to hear those familiar with Neverwhere enjoyed this! I love the book and the universe, and it was so much fun to bring John and Sherlock into it to play with.

Sherlock in Regency garb is a pretty stunning mental image, I couldn't resist it. Though I think that John will cling to his jumpers and jeans for as long as he can! He does like his jumpers! :D
