It's been an amazing difficult weekend for us! We go to the Lynwood Baptist Church in Oswego, IL and have since we moved here 6 years ago...and today we said goodbye to our pastor (friend) Richard and his wife Rhonda and their daughter Bethany. Change might be hard sometimes, but all in all, it's quite often also a doorway to something new and wonderful. In this case, you'll probably still keep your old friends (what is distance to a true friendship in these times of instant communications?), but you may get some new ones, too.

You are so right of course. Sometimes it's hard to see all the possible good stuff ahead while you are in the middle of the trial. Thanks for the reminder. And just look at us, I hadn't talked to you in 10 years and here you are giving me great friend advise :) So you never know what can happen between friends.

Hey, what am I here for, if not for helping friends? Friends who I talked with today, or who I last saw over 10 years ago. A friend is a friend. :)

And besides, I'm an optimist, almost to no end, so looking at your situation from my pov, it's pretty easy to see how it might turn out to be a good change after all. Let's just hope I'm right, eh? *grin*
