Commiserating -- I've had the abrupt "give up your key and don't come back" experience too. Really sucks. Hope what this turns out to be for you is a springboard to a better job.

I kind of knew something like this was coming, just based on the way things have been going at work...but one of my supervisors assured me just last Thursday that I was a valuable employee, and even though I'd been thinking about resigning before I got fired the talk I had with her made me think that I'd just been blowing things out of proportion and that I would be okay to at least see through this project I've been working on that goes live in October...guess not.
