it really makes sense. i loved "memnoch", and i thought she created a really believable scenerio for god, the devil, and religion in general. it's not any kind of stretch to see her writing a series about jesus if you look at the fact that lestat's being a vampire was really secondary to the whole theme of memnoch the devil. he just happened to be a vampire, it wasn't the core idea of the book. and in blackwood farm and bloood canticle it was less about vampires and more about people (whatever they might be) and their struggles and their faith. faith, god, evil, the nature of evil, the nature of good, spirituality...it's always been heavily in there in her stories, she just wrapped it up in goth/vamp packaging
