One word of caution: make sure you clarify exactly what each of you expects from the partnership. Some people want strictly SpaG correction, others want to work together from story brainstorming right on through, with most falling somewhere in between. And many have more than one beta (it's not personal; you end up with multiple perspectives that way, which can be great).
It can save a lot of heartache in the end if you both agree on your approach and timelines.
I get called cute frequently ;) either that or ...odd. Sometimes both! It's hard not to be cute at 5'2", with bouncy curls and a caffeine addiction that results in what could best be described as a constant, light, full-body vibration.
Thank you for the advice, you've probably just streamlined my first beta relationship.*g* Trust me when I say that I won't mind if they have another beta, no one person can pick up every error, and an extra set of eyes can make all the difference.

Good luck and happy betaing! *hugs*
