mid-college crisis

I don't understand why people try to be so different. It's like some people just go out of their way to fit into this "different, noncomformist" category, but in actuality they are just falling into the bandwagon of "noncomforming." And its like so uncool to like popular things, whether its pop music or abercrombie clothes. but think about, why ( Read more... )

totally yes.
so what if you like Britney Spears and wear Abercrombie clothes?
just because I don't shop in thrift stores and listen to obscure bands doesn't make me any less of a better person than someone who does.
I think it's great to be unique and non-conformist, but if you become a non-conformist just for the sake of being one that totally defeats the purpose.

I've been thinking about this for a while and meaning to write about it in my lj but you stole the words right out of my mouth =)

p.s. I think we're all going through a mid-college crisis coupled with mild depression.

i know, i was going to write about this too. my sociology teacher was talking about how deviant counterculture eventually becomes the trend anyway cuz people start to jump onto the bandwagon.

am i one of those 2-3 friends???? huhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh???? :D
