more adventures from the Pie

Apr 10, 2010 09:47

Everyone once in a while, the Pie will do something that makes me wonder if she's a changeling child from the goblins. I mean, no normal almost-2-year-old would ask for - and enthusiastically eat - 3 helpings of broccoli, right ( Read more... )

my brain works in weird ways, the pie

I'm singing the Pie's song right now. She is too cute.

Everytime I think she's hit her peak of cuteness, she does something even more adorable. That said, I do wish I'd had my camera going to capture that song!

LOL That is an excellent song!

And OMG, we are the same person -- Mr. Tater and I are constantly making up new lyrics to songs (or just making up songs). Yesterday I was getting the Tater Tot dressed and sang to the tune of the Hokey Pokey:

You put your army in
You pull your handy out
You get your sleevey on
Then you shake it all about

You've got to put your clothes on
So that we can all go out
That's what it's all about. (Repeat with leggies, feeties, and trousers.)

Not quite as clever as Where's the Cookie / Nom nom nom, but...

Re: Cruella deVil...I think she must secretly have liked the song. I'd love to have something that awesome sung about me!

Ha, I did the new lyrics thing too. (Earworm though it may be, I don't think the Kookaburra song deserved the butchering it got, once I realised that "kookaburra" and "Isadora" have the same number of syllables.)

And that Hokey Pokey song is just too damn cute. I AM MELTING HERE.

OMG as a kid I loved brussel sprouts and my parents could NOT understand it either ;)

I love her song.

Y'know, I've never had a brussel sprout. I may well like them. I did hate broccoli as a kid (even smothered in cheese), but apparently it grew on me at some point. Perhaps I ate some in pregnancy and the kid liked it?

You're kid eat broccoli? WHOA.

WHOA!

PS. 101 Dalmatians was my FAVORITE movie when I was three! My mom, to this day, refuses to watch it again since apparently I watched it up to three times a day.

My kid not only eats broccoli, she asks for more, and greets it with "yay, yummy brocc'li!" when I dish it out. Changeling child, I tell you.

You sound like my sister with movies - I remember her watching Labyrinth, The Wizard of Oz, and Beetlejuice on repeat for ages. She'd take a fancy to a movie and watch it over and over for a week.

Of course, I may have been just as annoying with The Littler Mermaid...

Also, OMG ICON.

That song is amazing : D

My brother's favorite food around 2 was lima beans (????). And apparently the only vegetables I would eat for awhile were carrots and squash, so I turned orange. Kids are weird.

That song is totally something I would have made up myself. I was SO PROUD.

And apparently the only vegetables I would eat for awhile were carrots and squash, so I turned orange.

PICS OR GTFO. Okay, not really. I just wanna see the embarrassing evidence. :D

Dude, it was the early 80s. Any pictures would probably be orange at this point anyways ; ) (I should ask if we have any pics of that, actually, I don't know if I've seen any)
