(no subject)
Well. This last week has be filled with up and downs... my week has seen some awefully strange, yet good things, and earlier this afternoon was brought some of the saddest news.
Thursday I went to work, slaved away all day..... blablabla... same old story...... wished I could have seen Tool play at the Big Day Out.... but, judging by the footage that one of my mates took, the whole venue was packed to capacity.... it would have been _really_ intimidating! I guess i'll just have to see them next time they come.
Last thursday evening I caught up with my sinners. We ended up going on a road trip down to cooma to see her friend Spuddy. While there, I was introduced to a guy called Darren Powell...who.. as it turns out... is the fastest snowboarder in the world...... he's gonna teach me how to board! HOW COOL IS THAT!!!!!!! Was also introduced to this guy named Breeze.. and yes.. i asked him, and it turns out that it IS his real name... he's also a snowboarder/surfer/sky-diver/jet-skiier/motorcross rider/dirt bike rider etc etc etc........ and well...*goes all girlish and coy* we're more than just friends now :) *grin* altho.. - the downside is that he lives in Cooma.... the upside is that he may very well be coming up next weekend to see me :) *bounces*........ and breeze has also offered to teach me how to snowboard! WOOHOO!
Friday was a family day. My grandparents came down from Goulburn and we had a family lunch at the Gungahlin Lakes club... i had garlic prawns for my main, and GOD was it delicious!! We were celebrating a triple birthday. Nan's birthday (my mum's mother) was the 26th, My Birthday is tomorrow (Jan 29) and my mum's b'day is on Feb 4. So, every year, we have a triple b'day family lunch thing. It was nice. It brings the whole family together for a nice occassion. So, I got some of my b'day pressies early.. my nan gave me money, my grandparents (mum's olds) gave me a really nice top, my sister made me some jewellery - necklace and matching earrings - which are _just gorgeous_ and gave me some covers for my ipod shuffle, and my brothers girlfriend sarah gave me box of chocolates....
My parents are giving me my pressie tomorrow... they're giving me money... so that'll be handy!
Last night (being saturday night) I went over to terrorgore's place for her housewarming.... was awesom hanging out with her and kjaxxx and also saw Shane chronovision's boi, along with terrorgore's housemates Renee and Kristie, a whole bunch of people I had never met before, and Don (from sydney) was there too - which was cool. I got to catch up with him! Unfortunately chronovision wasn't able to make it, as she had to work *sniffles* But i'll have to catch up with her soon. Definitely have to catch up with her. Ended up getting home at about 6am and spent today writing up applications for jobs which i saw in the Canberra Times and also on seek.com.au. I managed to send out 12 applications for worthwhile positions.. so i guess i'll just have to wait to see what comes of them.....
and then I received the bad news from ozgenre about a really really longstanding friend of mine, (and of many many others) - Mistress Aveline. I was crushed, shocked and in TOTAL disbelief when he told me that she had passed away earlier this morning... She had an aneurism a few days ago, and her lifesupport was turned off this morning. I don't want to believe it. But, well, i guess I don't have any choice.
It looks like i may be making a daytrip to melbourne later this week to attend her funeral/wake/whatever is being held to commemorate her life. *heavy sighs*
God, Ave, i'm gonna miss you. This world is going to be so much worse off without you in it. You'll always be loved, but sure as hell, you'll never be forgotten.

So I went over to The Hyatt to join ozgenre for a couple of drinks in her memory, and we had dinner and caught up before he flies back to sydney tomorrow. He even bought me "Candy" on dvd for my birthday - as I haven't seen it, and he believes I should! Sooooo, after i log off, i'm going to watch my new movie.
So anyways. tomorrow is my birthday..... am having brunch with Terrorgore and, as it so happens, I am accompanying her to get her very first tattoo, and she's buying me a peircing for my b'day! YAY :) I think I am going to get (curtesy of Terrorgore) one (or maybe even both) ((depending on how busy Justin is, and how much money I have on me!)) of the sides of my belly peirced... seeing as tho I already have the top and bottom done!
Anyway.
Its time for me to log off, and watch candy, and get some sleep.
Will hopefully be in sydney again sometime soon!!!!
