You know, that blue guy never gave us that prison I asked for.

What about the tunnels?

Well there's that. But when I talked to the blue guy, we kind of came up with the idea for an actual, real prison. With the same power blocking that the tunnels had.

... but then I kind of realized it might be a bad idea and never mentioned it to him again.

An intriguing thought. Can you elaborate on why it might be a poor idea? Aside from placing our more dangerous members further into the hands of the Malnosso, that is.

[...What in the Queen's name is this thing in the little picture supposed to be and why is it asking intelligent questions. Seriously.]

[Being from the Victorian era, there has been a shift "recently" (perhaps within his late father's lifetime) as to what as criminal entails and how to deal with them. As to him personally... Well, let's avoid that in favor of a side-comment:] In any case, a set of judges would be necessary, would it not?

A set? Everything I've been told about systems so far seems to require only one judge.

And who is to correct that one when they err? [It's not if it's when, of course]

We have an excellent justice system. A very strict one which takes care of all of its citizens.

Can you elaborate?

The population of our society is very small, so structure is necessary. Careful measure is taken of each citizen's potential, and their position in society is determined by it. Thieves and murderers are dealt with swiftly and harshly. If a criminal element were to take root, it could easily cause our entire city to cave in, metaphorically or physically.

How do you measure this "potential"?

If you're looking into the judicial system of Earth at all, you'll need cops.. like Horatio.

Sir Caine? I encountered him once before... it's a shame we lost him, I think he'd have been a great asset.

Yeah.. He was.

Anyways, if you're interested in setting up a system like what we use on Earth, you have to get cops.. err, people who enforce the laws and protect people and.. stuff.. I don't really know where you'd find people like that, or how you'd interview them or whatever.

Four groups are already set up based on similar designs. The one problem is that they have no laws restraining them save what they place on themselves, due to Luceti being quite lawless.

I would not recommend the justice system of my home world, I can tell you that. It consisted of a quick, very unfair, trial followed by an execution. If it was not severe enough to warrant death it would often be the loss of limbs such as fingers.

If we can manage to install some sort of system here, I'll do everything I can to ensure it turns out nothing like that, I promise.

I am very glad to hear it. Our system was atrocious. Every time I brought up changing it, I was immediately silenced. It is apparently improper for a woman to have such opinions.
