Characters: Prussia, Seychelles, Germany (briefly)
POV: Prussia
I keep having this dream.
I'm a child. I'm dressed up in my armor and gripping my sword like it's my life, which probably isn't helping me because I'm freezing, and almost literally. I'm lying in the snow and I'm so cold I can't move.
And then a girl is leaning over me. I've seen her a couple times but I don't really know her, and I certainly didn't know her when I was small. She wasn't even alive, which is strange because she's an adult in the dream. She smiles at me. "Everyone's been looking for you."
I stare at her like I can't believe she said that.
She picks me up and I instantly feel warmer. I'm still clutching my sword, but she slips it from my hand like it's nothing. It's strange, everything is strange, but I feel safe. I close my eyes and bury my head in her shoulder next to one of her curly pigtails as she begins to walk.
"We're here," she says eventually. I open my eyes to find us back at my house, the one I share with my brother, only it's not. It looks like a combination of the house we share now and the one I raised him in.
And then she kisses me.
It's a long kiss.
When I break away from the kiss she's looking up at me. I've become the person I am now, like the frog changing into the prince. She smiles at me widely sincerely when I stare at her again.
A door opens behind us and Germany shouts, "Bruder! Where the hell have you been?!" I turn to him and laugh, tell him he's cute when he's worried and turn back, to introduce her, and then I can't.
She's far away, and I suppose I could run and catch her but I suddenly know I wouldn't know what to say to keep her.
So she's gone.
