Because I'm malicious, I went to the Harry Potter section of ff.net to find some overdramatic angsty PROSE to laugh at. If it's prose, it's hysterical. If it's a poem, it makes no sense and just makes you want to kill yourself.

Well, the prose angst is really hysterical. It's only the poems that sneak up on you and throw toothpicks in your eyes.

Damn, if only I'd known that asking made people stop writing bad poetry... my life would have been much less annoying.
Personally, I find avoiding the 'harry potter' section on ff.net helps make things more tolerable though.
