Hrm, think of narcissism like this: it boosts your confidence, yes? Too little confidence is a terrible thing. As is self-hatred. Of course, one can have too much confidence, but that's really not just a matter of confidence but also an inability to calculate odds. Because quite often it merely takes a little forethought to change them.
