Careful there; those involved with the Social Network have been wishy-washy about how they're marketing it. Initially, I thought it was a story about a precocious young college student who tapped into a sense for belonging which he shared with a great many people, only to be seduced by the power of his new-found enterprise and turn his back on his friends. That was worthy of a respectable thumbs up.

Then Aaron Sorkin talked about elitism being an aspirational word, and Zuckerberg being an entrepreneur in his acceptance speech. That, matched with Jesse Eisenberg and Mark Zuckerberg's high 5 on Saturday Night Live sort of suggests the film is now being pushed as a tribute to Zuckerberg's achievement, warts and all though it is. Okay, so is The Social Network trying to be Citizen Kane or Ray? If it's the latter, you can't fault me for liking The King's Speech.
