In my lecture yesterday on 'Cyborg as Interface', the big example used was Rez. When queried, I was the only one in the theatre to have played it.

Is Rez the same as Amplitude? I think it is isn't it?

Rez is a Sega product, designed by Tetsuya Mizuguchi. Space Channel 5, Meteos, etc.

Amplitude is by Harmonix. Frequency, Guitar Hero, etc.

Maybe you were thinking of Frequency. Or maybe you were just messing me around.

No I was thinking of Frequency. Is it similar though?

Rez is kinda like an on-rails shooter with wireframe graphics and techno/trance music, techno/trance music you contribute to since all of your actions make certain blips and boops. It is also the game which came with that vibrator the internet raved about a while ago because it helped girls get off.

Frequency is just like Amplitude and Guitar Hero and Beatmania and everything else, hitting buttons to the beat of music to make the music. Except in Frequency and Amplitude you do it so you 'activate' certain layers of sound. Guitar, bass, drumtracks, etc.

I like music games.
