Ahh, My hair has been through it I tell you. I thought I would post the past 4 to 6 years of hair cuts to help give some people ideas about their own hair.
This hair cut came about when I was really into swimming and fried my hair, I told the woman to cut off all the dead hair and I ended up with about 2-3 inch spikes, so I grew it out a little, bleached it white and dyed it pink.
These two were taken the same night. About the same cut, just dyed brown with pink hi-lights.
Dark Purple hair, a wee bit longer than above (clipped back with barrettes)
Taken same day. Just a little palmade for the texture.
This is grown out quite a bit, I went to a college to get my hair dyed black (first time I let someone else color my hair) but unfortunately it got mixed with the blonde, So I figured, I see a lot of blondes running around with dark roots, I’ll switch it up.

This haircut was a little below my ears, with the perm it was the perfect leant h . very little work involved just some mouse and blow-drying upside down.
….what not to do with your perm
This was a nice cut, very easy to manage and I could still “up-do” it. (see below)

The up do from the side and the front. What I did to achieve this was tie it in a loose ponytail and shove a bit to the front. Any hair that was cut a little to short to fit in the ponytail, I just put them up in some clips. Most days I did not like my hair on my neck so I put it up the bottom half in a clip.
All my haircuts I got because they were very manageable. All of them only required a little mouse and hairspray to set it. Whenever I felt like getting funky I put some palmade in there to piece it out. I use a 2 inch round brush to get the “flipped” look.
I have used the same hairstylist the whole time I started messing with my hair. I just go in and tell her to “razor the hell out of it” She listens to me and inputs on what a nice do would be and how to manage it. She never uses a straight scissor cut and nine times out of ten she also does a textur-izer as well. I also have her style my hair for me and show me what she does so I know how to fix it later on.
Most of my cuts took less than 10 minutes to fix. If I had one of those days I did not feel like doing it, I just clipped it back with barrettes.
My number one piece of advise for anyone is to get a nice hairstylist and stick with him or her. Mine never charges me extra for the styling (but paying to learn how to fix it later is still a good idea) Make sure to listen to them because sometimes what looks good on someone else may not look good on you. Or, you can be like me. I just have the mentality “It will grow back if I don’t like it”
Hope this helps.
