I love rock climbing. I like Earth Treks, but it doesn't beat outdoor climbing. Let us know when you want to go in the Spring/Summer..... we would love to go! I am even thinking about buying all the equipment and actually getting good at it.

I haven't tried outdoor climbing yet as the weather has not yet permitted such an excursion, but I will definitely let you know when Noel and I plan on going! Anyways, would you like to come with me sometime to earth treks? I need a climbing parter as Noel doesn't want to come with me. I know how to belay, I just need to get certified at Earth Treks. Also, if you plan on getting equiptment go to www.madrockclimbing.com/outlet.aspx you can find a lot of stuff for a good price there. I got the Venus PSI harness for $40. Good price and really nice harness. I didn't get my shoes there, but you can find good shoes for $20 which are usually $80-$100 at other places.

Lastly, if you plan on going often it's much better to invest in your own equiptment rather than renting. In the long run it is so much more cost effective.

Whoa! Your rock climbing adventures sound like soo much fun!! Ok so first off I have to admit that I have never done rock climbing indoors on the walls but have always had an interest to do it. I used to go hiking ALL the time when I was in middle school and when I lived in VA, there even came a time when we went on a trip that involved repelling, however I ended up skipping out on that portion of the trip and just hiked down the mountain instead :\ I'm not sure if this is the same thing as rock climbing, but I've been caving and must say that I consider myself kinda outdoorsy. Maybe you will consider me next time when you can't find a partner! :)
