Rule#8 No More Appeals, Just Questions.

Thank you friends, for considering my words, for letting me speak to you today.

The many accusations that I am deluded or in denial are troubling ( Read more... )

Mr. Zabi, I think the problem (of what people are trying to explain you) is that some of us didn’t die. Take for example my servant, Alucard, it’s well… ludicrous to think someone had managed to kill him to my knowledge. The Count denied death centuries ago and raised as a vampire due to sheer willpower. And if he affirms I was alive and abruptly vanished from London and only arrived here because he followed by sheer willpower.

I believe him.

Death is probably a certainty to some cases. Others not.

If I died in line of duty to my country, I would be honoured and accept my fate in peace. But I didn’t. I live thus I must find a way home to reach closure, whatever outcome would be I dread nothing.

I.. I see.

Until now I have been reluctant to factor in cases of more supernatural examples such as Kampfer's or your servant's. Addressing them certainly complicates this...

So you think there really is a way back to you world?

I do.

The winners of the latest ‘contests’ are proof enough there is a way out. And if I don’t obtain a free exit, I’m willing to exchange something for a key to the seller, one that would specifically take me to my world on the exact moment of my departure. I just cannot allow myself to linger dusting myself as my city lies in flames. If I were dead, then it wouldn’t matter for I fought until the end. However, knowing I am quite alive, it’s shameful to deny the call of duty.

I’m deeply saddened this issue has upset you, Mr. Zabi. You are a dignified chap trapped in this Carnival. If you are dead, then, you must take a choice to remain in the City and continue with your current life or left and face whatever afterlife you have earned.

It was a pleasure, nonetheless.

... I couldn't agree with you more.

Some need a definitive answer regarding the state of their mortality before anything else can be determined properly.

Understandable. But how much evidence does one need besides their own memory?

Unfortunately enough, I can't quite retain the memory of myself being violently blasted from the cockpit of my suit into oblivion. Though something tells me the violent explosion portion of the description might have had something to do with it.

Been hearing things in the wind.

So, you really think we're all dead?

Oh. at least my name's getting around..

I know that there are some here who are sure of it, and some here who aren't.

Zabi... not all of us are dead.

dopper_prince May 18 2006, 11:23:42 UTC
If that's the case, then my theory is shot to hell, without a more stable answer to fill the void.

What are your thoughts about the city, Zala?

This city... events and silly jokes aside, it's strange yet somewhat accomodating. I don't understand its purpose for gathering both the dead and the living, and at the same time, there are too many factors that add weight to your theory.

However, seeing as how Kira mentioned that my friends and I had disappeared from our world and showed relief upon meeting us, we can't possibly be dead.

Yes, there are a lot more factors now..

I'm not supristed you find this City slightly accomodating, since you are able to reunite with your friend Nicol. Though we don't oppose you being here, it would be better for you to return to the war and the aide of your people and homeland as well.

You're sounding saner than usual, Zabi.

This "annoying woman" wants to know "the way home."

I'm merely expanding my previous strategy.

...

All thing considered, now it's also a difference between "a" way home and "the" way home, isn't it?

...sure, sure.

You've got a good point. Then what I'm looking for is a way home--any way home, as long as I don't have to give up what they say I have to.

I'm sure we aren't the only ones suspicious of that "trade method..."

Hm. I don't suppose there is a way to trick that Dorian clown, and trade false or less impactive memories..
